Kansas quarterly PBM reports

The quarterly NADAC and net acquisition cost reports TruthRx files with the Kansas Insurance Department.

What these reports are

Under the Kansas Consumer Prescription Protection and Accountability Act (Senate Bill 20, 2026), every pharmacy benefit manager licensed in Kansas files a quarterly report with the Kansas Insurance Department and publishes it on its website for at least 24 months. TruthRx posts each quarter here once it has been filed.

Each report is the Kansas Insurance Department's own Excel workbook, in two parts:

  • NADAC report — each prescription dispensed in Kansas for a drug on the federal National Average Drug Acquisition Cost (NADAC) list: the drug, when it was dispensed, the pharmacy, what the pharmacy was paid, and how that compares with NADAC.
  • Net acquisition cost report — for each health benefit plan, by type of drug: what pharmacies were paid, PBM fees, rebates received and the net cost charged to the plan.

The reports contain no member names or identifiers. As the Kansas Insurance Department allows, the names of the health benefit plans may be redacted in the copy posted here; the Kansas Insurance Department receives the full report.
